Juniors get on top in Piteşti
Balkan Junior Championships held in Romanian town Piteşti at 1-2 July as Turkey topped the medal and points table. Turkey is continue to dominating Balkan athletics in all level. After crowning race walking, half marathon and youth championships, Turkish team enjoyed another success in Piteşti at the Balkan U20 (Junior) Athletics Championships. Turkish team competed there with 71-strong squad, showed the flag 22 of 42 podium ceremonies during two-day events, including they've had five double-flagged podiums. Turkish juniors won 11 gold, seven silver and nine bronze out there, a total of 27 medals, one gold more from host country Romania (10-7-9). Turkey U20 team also cumulated 359,5 points in all events to getting top place at the overall standings. After 42 competition concluded, Romania had 294,5 points while Greece took third place with 243.5 points. Turkey's all medals in Balkan Juniors 2017 is listed below.
